We care about and are committed to total client well-being. We advocate lifestyles that support maximum reproductive and general health. Following this philosophy we collaborate with each client to identify any life-style factors that are known to adversely affect the presenting condition and create obstacles in reaching maximum health potential. An individual treatment program is designed especially for each client, incorporating one or more of the following strategies: The focus of the treatment approach depends upon whether treatment is required for infertility, pre-conception care, IVF support, a gyneacological condition or an obsteric disorder: Female infertility: the focus is on enhancing the chances of conceiving and producing healthy conceptions. Male infertility: the focus is on improving sperm parameters and the chances of producing healthy conceptions. Pre-Conception Care: the focus is on preparing for a healthy conception and pregnancy. IVF Support (& other Assisted Reproductive Technologies): the focus is on preparing for egg pick-up and transfer, lowering stress levels and as much as possible reducing the side effects of the fertility drugs. Women's Health disorders: the focus is on balancing the reproductive system and regulating hormones and menstrual cycle. Obstetric disorders: the focus is on supporting a healthy pregnancy or preparing for childbirth. Post-Partum conditions: the focus is on boosting energy, strengthening immunity and balancing the body, mind and emotions. Costs Private health fund rebates are available through your health fund provider. The initial consultation and acupuncture treatment (about 1 hour) $80 Follow-up consultation and acupuncture treatment (about ¾ hour) $65 How long does treatment continue for? It is impossible to give an exact length of time that you should continue to receive treatment. Some cases respond very quickly, whereas others take longer. Unfortunately there will be some who don’t respond. The recommended guidelines are: Female infertility: Treatment is needed for at least six (6) successive menstrual cycles to balance reproductive energies. Male infertility: It takes between three (3) to four (4) months for sperm to fully develop, so regular treatment for at least four (4) months is necessary before any improvements in sperm parameters. Support for IVF & other Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART): Twice a week before egg pick-up or insemination and once a week after embryo transfer or insemination. Women’s Health disorders: Depends upon the disorder, but generally treatment ranges from three (3) to six (6) months. Pre-Conception Care: Six (6) months of treatment before trying to conceive is the usual recommendation. Pregnancy care: Treatment time depends upon the presenting complaint. The time can range from one to two treatments for labour preparation to every second or third day until relief for morning sickness. Post-Natal care: Treatment time is usually twice a week for three weeks. |
